Cyclocross Season Has Arrived

Cyclocross season has a arrived. Well, not quite just yet locally. The past few days here in Kansas City have been very cool and reminded me that cross season is just a few weeks away.

Training for the upcoming CX season has been going well. Christopher and I are back at it hard and are having fun laying out courses in the construction area by our home. I can't get the kid to train on the road, but give him some dirt to play in...

I have also been working hard on some upcoming events that I will promote. This year I'm teaming up with Gerard Arantowicz, Roger Harrison (The Lantern Rouge) and Heather Jordan (The Wheel Cyclery) to product the Kansas City Cross series. We are going Dutch and calling the series the DeStand Cyclocross Van Kansas Series.

Tour of Missouri

Carolynn, Dave, Randy, Jennifer and I went down to watch the tour today. We had a great time. This was Carolynn's first time watching a professional cycling event - she was very impressed.

Some MX Fun.

Christopher and I took a break from training for the upcoming cyclo-cross season and headed up to the Knobby Hill MX Park. Took me awhile, but I started to get my old grove going after several laps. We had a great time and I enjoyed hanging out with my son riding. It brought back some very fond memories of when I grew up racing Motorcycles in the South East. Carolynn was on hand and videod us and took some pics. Enjoy.
